Oslo Terrorist Linked to EDL and European Branch of Pamela Geller’s Hate Group

Breivik was deeply involved in the ‘counter-jihad’ blogosphere and UK far right groups
World • Views: 53,099

Also today, the Guardian has an article about Oslo terrorist Anders Behring Breivik’s links to the UK far right.

Breivik boasted online of his discussions with the English Defence League (the anti-Muslim group praised and supported by US bloggers Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller), and with “Stop the Islamisation of Europe” — the European branch of Pamela Geller’s “Stop the Islamization of America” (listed as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center).

Anders Behring Breivik in his Mason costumeAnders Brehing Breivik, the man accused of the murder of at least 91 Norwegians in a twin bomb and gun massacre, boasted online about his discussions with the far right English Defence League and other anti-Islamic European organizations. …

The disclosure of Breivik’s claimed links with other far right organisations came as details emerged about the rightwing Christian fundamentalist and freemason behind Norway’s worst post-war act of violence.

It was revealed that the 32-year-old former member of the country’s conservative Progress Party – who had become ever more extreme in his hatred of Muslims, left wingers and the country’s political establishment – had ordered six tonnes of fertiliser in May to be used in the bombing. While police continued to interrogate Breivik, who was charged with the mass killings, evidence of his increasingly far right world view emerged from an article he had posted on several Scandinavian websites, including Nordisk – a site frequented by neo-Nazis, far right radicals and Islamophobes since 2009.

The Norwegian daily VG quoted one of Breivik’s friends saying that he had become a rightwing extremist in his late 20s and was now a strong opponent of multi-culturalism, expressing strong nationalistic views in online debates.

Breivik had talked admiringly about conversations he had had with unnamed English Defence League members and the organisation Stop the Islamification of Europe over the success of provocative street actions leading to violence.

“I have on some occasions had discussions with SIOE and EDL and recommended them to use certain strategies,” he wrote two years ago.

“The tactics of the EDL are now to ‘lure’ an overreaction from the Jihad Youth/Extreme-Marxists, something they have succeeded in doing several times already.” Contacted about the allegation by email by last night the EDL had not answered.

Not related in any way but I think you will be amazed by this enormous spending blunder by the US Navy initiated during the Reagan presidential years.

WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) --- The government is saying goodbye to two large oil tankers that it ordered during the Reagan administration, spent more than $300 million to build, and never finished or put in service.

The ships, the Benjamin Isherwood and the Henry Eckford, are being destroyed this month after having spent the last several years as part of the so-called ghost fleet of rotting and antiquated naval and merchant ships moored in the James River in Newport News.

"Well, now we know why they're called ghost fleets. They haunt taxpayers with costs for decades and, once we see the cost for getting rid of them, we all want to drop dead," said Pete Sepp of the National Taxpayers Union.

More here.

A commenter from Spencer's site thinks the Norwegians got what they deserved....

What goes around comes around. Whatever the case, the Norwegians have now began ripping what they had sown, demonizing Israel for decades, and eagerly justifying the mass murders of Israeli men, women, children, babies by the "Palestinian" Islamic Jihadis, saying that the "Palestinians" acted out of "hopelessness", "pain", "desperation", "anger" over the "occupation".
Now, the shue is on the other foot.

The most disgusting defense of him I'm seeing-- and there's a lot of it-- is that he was driven to this by the sickness of the overly-liberal society, that this is the natural reaction of a conservative nationalist to living under a liberal government with immigration.

Not only is that a pathetic excuse, it basically says we should expect a lot more attacks like this. It's literally doing the work of the terrorist.

That was my main concern when I learned of the nature of the "suspect". Do we have now a new type of terrorist? Will he inspire others like him? And as in criminal acts will there be copy-cats? Clearly of course this was a politically motivated act. He might not have a manifesto. However, his manifesto is in the subtext of what he's said on the internet up until this violent act.

In response to the freak-out over at Hot Air:

Curmudgeon on July 23, 2011 at 11:56 AM

Although this has been one of the uglier comment threads I recall here, I can’t let this pass: do most Christians commenting here believe, as the above poster stated, that Matthew wrote a contemporaneous account about Jesus Christ and that account is one of the four Gospels?

You do realize those Gospels weren’t written in real time, yes, that none of them were written by the men whose names they bear, yes? That all of them are historical documents relying on the oral tradition, yes? This isn’t wicked atheist speculation, this is, um, accepted historical record.

I do not believe for a second that Christianity poses a threat to civilization, and I do believe Islam does. However, the ignorance about Christianity on display by professed Christians on this board is astonishing. Any Christian who dares declare what is in the heart of another professed Christian is a fool. Judge them by their works? He who has no sin – throw your pious stones, hypocrites.

A Christian couldn’t do this? Peter denied Christ three times, and he was one of his closets friends – you think Christians today are incapable of letting Christ down, of doing things decidedly not Christ-like?

I don’t know if the man was a Christian or not – frankly, I don’t think it matters and it’s a gruesome testament to how defensive believers have become that the *idea* that someone who commits an atrocity could possibly have similar beliefs has steered this train so far off the tracks.

As strange as it may sound to so many of the more hostile believers in this comment thread, many atheists – myself among them – came to our conclusions about the world after years of devout, trenchant Christian education. Saying you’ve read the Bible or the Koran doesn’t prove squat – from what I can tell from the more adamant in this thread, everything you know about Christianity you learned in Vacation Bible School.

Your true-blue belief that the monster who committed this crime wasn’t a Christian does not absolve you of your profound ignorance about your faith, its roots, its texts, its teachings and its ethics. ‘Judge them by their works’ – yes, get busy doing that you morally repugnant buffoons.

Beyond-despicable this thread. You’re doing about as much for Christianity as Judas did for Christ.

23 Tigger2005  Sat, Jul 23, 2011 12:54:50pm

That's really weird...most right-wing Christian fundamentalists hate the Freemasons because they are religiously tolerant. And Freemasonry certainly has no history of extremism like this, unless you take the view that the Founding Fathers, many of whom were Freemasons (including Washington) were "extremists in defense of (real) liberty".

At the risk of using the "no true Scotsman" fallacy, I'm not sure if this guy's Masonic ties had much to do with his beliefs and actions. If they did, then Freemasonry at least in Europe has taken a bad turn.

The success of "The Savage Nation" and its spinoffs is the culmination of a lifelong quest for attention, fame and money. And that raises the question of whether Michael Savage is just a persona created to milk conservatives and taunt liberals. Robert Cathcart thinks his old friend intentionally exaggerates his politics and personality to get a rise out of his audience. "It's showmanship," he says. "He makes enemies of everybody. He doesn't believe half the stuff he says. On air, he's the ultimate type-A personality, but he quiets down at home." Former "Savage Nation" producer James Hilliard concurs. "I think Michael does have an excellent sense of putting on a show," he says. "I think he learned or was told at an early point that this is an entertainment medium, and he thought of himself as an entertainer."

Don't know if you guys have found this, but here is on Youtube a clip where Anders Behring Breivik promotes the book he's written as a manifest to warn people about islamization and cultural marxism - 2083 – A European Declaration of Independence.

The book itself can be downloaded here.

The clip was uploaded yesterday July 22 on Anders Behring Breivik's Youtube channel, where he uses his English pseudonym Andrew Berwick. So he uploaded it just hours before he went on his killing spree.
He obviously compares himself to the knight templars of the crusades. Might explain somewhat why he did it.

The Freemasonry thing really bothers me. I pretty much dropped out of Freemasonry because I disliked the fact that it was a very "white" organization and showed no signs of integrating any time soon (maybe that's changed by now). But other than that it's a very positive and constructive organization, and of course we know that our first President, many of the Founding Fathers, and many other American greats, like Harry Truman, have been Freemasons. Freemasonry has traditionally been religiously tolerant asking only that members profess a belief in God and referring to God in universal terms, and this has earned them enmity from many right-wing Christians.

I'm looking for a strong repudiation of this guy from European Freemasons soon.

And this:

[Link: www.sfgate.com...]

Strange bedfellows: It turns out that ultra-hot conservative talk show host Michael Savage is backing Oakland Mayor Jerry Brown for state attorney general.

"What can I say? I think he'd make a great attorney general compared to the other guy. By the way, who is the other guy?'' Savage said, when asked why he chose Democrat Brown over conservative Republican Chuck Poochigian.

Savage, whose rants can be heard locally on KNEW-AM, is backing up his hot talk with some hot money as well. Savage Productions, which lists Savage as president and his wife, Janet Weiner, as director, has donated $5,600 to Brown's campaign.

"You have to make choices in an imperfect world,'' Savage said. "And this, this Machugian guy. (Like we said, it's Poochigian.) I never heard of him. I don't even know who he is."

Poochigian has spent the past 12 years in Sacramento, first in the Assembly and now in the Senate. Doesn't impress the president of the Savage Nation.

"Why bet on a horse that isn't going to win? Why throw your money into the garbage?''

So how did the best-selling author of "Liberalism is a Mental Disorder'' wind up backing a liberal once nicknamed "Governor Moonbeam"?

"People change. He changed. He has experience,'' Savage said of Brown. "He started the Oakland military academy -- that was a good thing."

And Brown's politics?

"He's moved to the center, which is what this socialist state needs," Savage said.

"So that's about it. I'm sure you will spin this and make something out of it."

Brown campaign manager Ace Smith would say only, "Michael Savage is one of 5,000 contributors to the campaign."

As for the Poochigian campaign, chief adviser Ken Khachigian told us, "We have Bo Derek, they have Michael Savage -- so between us, we've got the Good, the Bad and the Ugly.''

Who needs to spin after that?

I find this quote from Pam laughable:

"SIOA and SIOE declare our sympathy for the victims and relatives of the victims of the heinous mass murders in Norway. We denounce the attacker and reiterate our dedication to the defense of free societies and human rights for all people and our opposition to all vigilantism and violence."

Aha! So he does have a manifesto.

Thanks for posting that. The guy was clearly not insane or having psychotic episodes. He seems quite aware and probably rather intelligent.

Because we all know they think it. The fact they are trying to spin this, or are saying Norway deserved what happened says volumes.

Fuck. Sorry. But he has a diary of preparations at the end of his book. Very detailed.

Logistical plans ahead (as of March 1st)

I will shortly convert the public listing/definition of my company from regular to agricultural. This will allow me to acquire (rent) and register a farm with accompanying fields. The fields, registered through my company, will give me a specific “farming ID number” which is a requirement for ordering large amounts of fertilizer from the national supplier.

The cover I am using is; test production of sugar beet. I have created a 10 page “business plan” for this purpose, and have familiarized myself with the related terminology. As such, I am soon ready to place “rent adds” in agricultural newspapers, with intent to rent the farm/fields.

As soon as I rent the farm; I plan to move all my equipment to the farm house and initiate the “explosive manufacturing phase”. The operation will be executed shortly after the manufacturing phase is completed. Will attempt to initiate contact with cell 8b and 8c in late March.

This is going to be an all-or-nothing scenario. If I fail to generate acceptable precious metals yields, in combination with swift initiation of the capitalization for securing the areas I will be heavily indebted. I must complete capitalization of the mineral extraction project within August at latest! When I have the required seed capital I will have enough funds to employ the services of professional blasting engineers.

If all fails, I will initiate my career with a private security firm in conflict zones to acquire maximum funds in the shortest period of time to repay the debts.

First coming costume party this autumn, dress up as a police officer. Arrive with insignias:-) Will be awesome as people will be very astonished:-)

Side note; imagine if law enforcement would visit me the next days. They would probably get the wrong idea and think I was a terrorist, lol :o)

Optimal time budget, one person - ANFO: 3 x 600kg, PA: 3 x 0,5kg, DDNP: 3 x 10g

If I had known then, what I know today, by following this guide, I would have managed to complete the operation within 30 days instead of using almost 80 days. By following my guide, anyone can create the foundation for a spectacular operation with only 1 person in less than a month even if adding 2 "resting" days!:-)

Day 1: Moving and getting your equipment and gear into place.
Day 2: Installing all equipment - fume hood, fan etc.
Day 3: Finishing the metal skeletons/cylinders for the blast devices and completing other practical issues relating to gear and equipment.
Day 4: Creating an evacuation/emergency strategy, packing an evacuation kit (survival gear etc.)
Day 5: Grinding 2,5kg of aspirin: 30 minutes with blender, manufacture of acetylsalicylic acid from aspirin (4 hours) + drying in oven (4 hours per batch x 3)
Day 6: Manufacture of acetylsalicylic acid from aspirin (4 hours) + drying in oven (4 hours per batch x 3)
Day 7: Boiling sulfuric acid using 4 cooking plates outside, from 23.00-07.00, 15-18L->5L of 90%+
Day 8: Boiling sulfuric acid using 4 cooking plates outside, from 23.00-07.00, 15-18L->5L of 90%+
Day 9: Creating Picric Acid (6 out of 12 batches using 3 x hot plate stirrers)
Day 10: Creating Picric Acid (12 out of 12 batches using 3 x hot plate stirrers). Completed
Day 11: Purification of Picric Acid
Day 12: Purification of Picric Acid
Day 13: Purification of Picric Acid. Completed
Day 14: Creating DDNP
Day 15: Creating DDNP. Completed
Day 16: Relocation of 27-0-0 fertilizer. Break down a 600kg bag into 13-14 x 50kg bags, load in the truck, drive to location where you are going to crush them if needed.

95 Lord Baron Viscount Duke Earl Count Planckton  Sat, Jul 23, 2011 1:23:25pm
Day 17: Relocation of fertilizer. Break down another 600kg bag into 13-14 x 50kg bags.
Day 18: Relocation of fertilizer. Break down the last 600kg bag into 13-14 x 50kg bags.
Day 19: Initiate fertilizer grinding phase using 4 stationary blenders simultaneously. It will take aprox. 30-40 minutes to complete a full 50kg bag of ANFO, including the addition of the diesel and sealing the inner and outer bag with pieces of duct tape. It should be done nighttime between 23.00-07.00 as its quite noisy. The task also includes filling 20L plastic containers with diesel, and then breaking each 20L container down to 4L containers (empty distilled water containers) Complete 9 x 50kg bags of ANFO.
Day 20: Complete 9 x 50kg bags of ANFO.
Day 21: Complete 9 x 50kg bags of ANFO.
Day 22: Complete 9 x 50kg bags of ANFO. Completed.
Day 23: Mix in 2,5% (by weight) micro balloons and 10-15% (by weight) aluminium powder into the now hardened ANFO.
Day 24: Mix in 2,5% micro balloons and 10-15% aluminium powder into the now hardened ANFO.
Day 25: Mix in 2,5% micro balloons and 10-15% aluminium powder into the now hardened ANFO.
Day 26: Prepare trucks for transportation.
Day 27: Prepare trucks for transportation.
Day 28: Prepare trucks for transportation.
Day 29: Completed

The following chart illustrates labour required vs. risk of apprehension for individuals who are NOT already on any watch list.

Risk vs. Labour Time required to complete Risk of apprehension

1 person
30 days
30%
2 people 20 days 60%
3 people 16 days 85%
4 people 13 days 90%
5 people 12 days 90-95%

The old saying; "if you want something done, then do it yourself" is as relevant now as it was then. More than one "chef" does not mean that you will do tasks twice as fast. In many cases; you could do it all yourself, it will just take a little more time. AND, without taking unacceptable risks. The conclusion is undeniable.

Freepers are firmly in denial...

To: Steve Van Doorn
The narrative on this Breivik guy just isn’t adding up.

In fact, there is so much about this guy that makes no earthly sense, that it’s almost certain that something truly heinous is afoot with this incident.

That said, the operators have truly bungled the central foundations of their caper, because they’ve failed to provide any sort of credible linkage to this man’s purported character, and such a violent act as this.

At the moment, I’m trying to figure out who benefits from this? Anti-gunners? The hard left? The muslim invasion of Scandinavia? Who?

Someone who knows this guy is going to have to come forward and corroborate or deny what we’re being told about him. Until we know who (and what) he really is, we can’t make heads or tails of why he did this, and what possible objective he could have had.
