“Pay-to-play is a concern now? How much was Kushner pimping Trump access for over in China, again?”
Some journalists who were in China last month reported that Jared Kushner’s sister was presenting an “investment opportunity” to wealthy Chinese investors. She told the investors that if they invested money in the family’s NJ business project, they could get an EB-5 visa, which would make them permanent residents of the U.S. The minimum amount of investment needed to get an EB-5 visa is $500,000. After a member of her staff informed her that reporters were present, she kicked them out, and according to reporting by Think Progress she told the reporters that “this isn’t the kind of news we want.” Imagine that! Kushner Family members trading EB-5 visas for business investments. The new news today is that the Kushner Family owes Chinese investors $250,000,000 and is having trouble finding U.S. banks to lend it the money. Jared Kushner is bad for Wall Street. The article I read at Bloomberg said the family will probably turn to foreign banks to get the $250,000 it needs.

trump has spent his entire adult life as Master of All Masters of his own private business/corruption ring. In terms of personal power to order others about and have them tremblingly obey, he took a huge demotion on Jan 20. As soon as the reality of this demotion sinks in, I think it inevitable that trump will do something stupid and military to show off the only kind of power he has now that he didn’t have before.
IMO there’s a 50/50 chance that this future military stupidity will involve the use of nukes.

Imagine that.
About five minutes of Internet searching could have turned up the (actual) fact that the Big Fucking Arms Deal the Idiot-in-Chief announced in Riyadh with such fanfare:
1. Wasn’t as big a deal as he mis-labeled it.
2. Wasn’t his Administration’s idea (been in the works under Obama).
3. Wasn’t even much of a “deal” - not a sale, just the formal authorization of a future sale.
4. Probably won’t “create” many, if any, new jobs (basically it’s a make-work program for the MIC to keep the workers we already have busy).
IOW, typical Trump “business” crap: exaggerating the importance of someone else’s project, then loudly taking credit for it.
