You’ll have to forgive me for having little sympathy for Bolling. Since the people at Fox like extolling their Christianity practically daily, I think Eric Bolling should be given the Seth Rich parental treatment - like Bolling himself did to Seth’s parents. An eye for an eye and all that.
To kinda quote Kirk Cameron, maybe that’ll give Bolling some humility.

Texas GOPers certainly haven’t had any change in their position despite the massive damage done by Harvey sitting on their state for days.
What makes anyone think that the GOP in FL will be any more receptive to accepting global warming, climate change, and rising ocean levels?
Far too many of the GOP are not receptive to facts or logic, even when slammed in the face with them at 125mph.

Darwin’s gonna have a rich haul.
Lookin’ like it might be a record year for Darwin Award winners!
There are always people who think that they can live forever or that they’ll survive nature’s worst.
These people will be in for a reckoning. At a cat 3 125mph, you’re living through an EF2 tornado that lasts for hours.
If the storm pops back to a Cat 4 at 140 mph, you’re pushing EF3.
Should the storm go back to the insane levels of Cat 5, that’s a EF4.
EF4 tornados can do catastrophic damage when they’re spending just a few moments on each spot of geography, and the damage path is a few hundred yards to a mile or so wide, and usually don’t extend for more than a few miles in duration.
This storm will grind through all of southern Florida with those powers. Even reinforced structures might not be enough when you’ve got a storm surge likely to overtop the islands and could wipe out the bridge to the mainland.
The casual off-handed hostility toward Hillary Clinton STILL being expressed by so many in the media is honestly appalling.

Add Ron White used to say: the problem with hurricanes is not THAT the wind blows…it’s WHAT the wind blows.
A small seashell can become a deadly projectile.
re: #33 MsJ
Take that and extend it to the skyscrapers in Tampa (or Miami). Many have balconies, and far too many people may not have moved their outdoor furniture and stuff indoors. With those items outside, the odds increase that they’ll become projectiles doing damage to other structures or cause injuries (wind speed increases in relation to elevation above sea level).

The worst is just how seemingly impenetrable it is, either from Clinton or anyone who dared commit the sin of supporting her. The instant you mention that you dared do more than hold your nose and vote for her, the moment your opinion is treated like the greatest lie of Satan, and everything else you support becomes toxic. The same kind of intractability I see from GOPers toward anything remotely Dem-related or leftie-related.
And again, the primary has been re-litigated forever and a day since the fucking convention, and yet only now, when Clinton says something does that become beating a dead horse. Meanwhile, Bernie is still shitting on the grave of her candidacy while his supporters insist everyone bend knee to them or fucking else. All under the purview and enabling of the media.
I’m dead scared of the consequences of this, in all honesty. There isn’t a breakthrough moment I can see, and it may end up keeping things fractured enough that the GOP sails to the unassailable majority that we should be fighting to prevent. And I don’t know how to fix that because it seems like anyone who dared support Clinton has been completely locked in a state where daring to do something will only make things worse because of how instantly and reflexively people run from anything you support now. And that makes me feel so fucking helpless.

No it’s not. I saw the caretaker on a video talking about the house and he said it was built around 1852, out of 18 inch limestone blocks. The windows are covered with half-inch thick pieces of plywood. He and 10 other people associated with the museum will be riding out the storm with the 54 (!) cats who reside on the property. The reporter asked why they weren’t packing up the cats and leaving and he was all, yeah, we rent two vans, pack the cats in carriers and drive north. It’d be a minimum of 24 hours to get anywhere and the cats would be terribly stressed.
I completely understand the latter. I once drove with two cats from Salt Lake City to Phoenix. I was lucky to have my ex-boyfriend along because one of my cats just foamed at the mouth, she was so upset. He petted her for hours. The other cat—once he threw up and pooped and I cleaned his carrier, he was perfectly fine. I can’t even imagine moving 54 kitties.

Other than the news about mobile home dwellers, my mother is so la-di-da.
Thank dog my smart brother is there to take control.
“I’m surrounded by tall buildings, I’ll be fine. Picked up a roasted chicken at Publix and a 1lb bag of peanut M&M’s. I’ll be fine”
Payback from parents goes on forever.
I see St Jim of Cantore, patron saint of bad shit weather, is in FL for Irma.
Cursed admin
So… Right as #Irma is about to make landfall, the GFS just spit out a run where Hurricane #Jose directly hits New York City in 10 days. pic.twitter.com/Up0HZPhLdm

That reminds me of my brother-in-law’s grand mother. She was told to get out of FL because of a hurricane. What did she do? She stocked up on food and made sure the dining room table was covered in newspaper so that it would not get scratched. Fortunately cooler heads got her out before the storm made landfall.
Let’s make it simple: If Trump is not part of either party, then the GOP leadership should have no problem impeaching his ass.
Remember, Irma is missing Miami. People are going to be fools.

If Trump was really an “Independent ” President, he’d have been impeached and removed from office. He’s a Republican.

That poor guy always winds up with a flying loose garage door stuck up his ass or something.

Trump’s presidency is like the Bush presidency condensed to a single year, from “Look at how awesome America thinks he is!” to “He’s not one of us!” in a matter of months. By Christmas, they’ll be insisting that he fell out of the fucking sky and into the White House.

Nice typo. Is that the process you use to get rid of a pulpit pimp?
GFS and ECMWF do not carry Jose into New York. They do carry it somewhat close to North Carolina and New York, but not straight into it (no closer than a few hundred miles)

The fact that the funds don’t exist isn’t persuasive. The fact that the scientists aren’t rich doesn’t help. I’m at a loss.

Christian Prophetess Will Bat Hurricane Irma Away with her Magic Scepter (goes to Wonkette), with video of her preaching.
Of course, near the end of her video she lambastes her Christian followers that they need to do more to “prayer warrior” Irma away, so she has her built-in excuse if when she fails.
