Fusion GPS Founder Told Senate Investigators the FBI Had a Whistleblower in Trump’s Network

Politics • Views: 34,187

Well now. Here’s news that’s got to be sending chills down the spines of the villains occupying the White House: Fusion GPS founder told Senate investigators the FBI had a whistleblower in Trump’s network.

The British ex-spy who authored a dossier of allegations against then-presidential candidate Donald Trump was told the FBI had someone inside Trump’s network providing agents with information, according to a newly released transcript of a congressional interview.

Glenn R. Simpson, founder of the research firm Fusion GPS, spoke to investigators with the Senate Judiciary Committee for 10 hours in August. As the partisan fight over Russian interference in the 2016 election has intensified, Simpson has urged that his testimony be released, and a copy of the transcript was made public Tuesday.

It was released by the ranking Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California. That decision marks the most serious break yet in the cooperative relationship she has had with the Republican chairman of the committee, Sen. Charles E. Grassley (R-Iowa).

No wonder Lindsay Graham and Chuck Grassley fought so hard to keep this transcript secret. It shows that they knew the FBI considered Steele’s dossier to be credible — but still instructed the FBI to start a criminal investigation of Steele.

We’re seeing once again that the GOP considers Donald Trump their golden-haired boy, someone they can manipulate and use to get all of their regressive dreams realized at last. And they’re willing to compromise national security to keep him safe.

DT has said clearly that he will sign anything the GOP sends him.

He does not care about the contents, nor does he have any clear policy recommendations or initiatives, he will just get up and claim that whatever he wants is in there somewhere and nobody will take him to task about it.

Was that possibly when they learned some of this in detail?

They have a nasty, dark agenda. I posted this in an earlier thread but will mention it again, because it makes clear that all their “family values”, “religious freedom” and “low taxes/balanced budget” talking points are hollow and only a front for a much larger and darker initiative:

Well. The CEO of my evil, too big to fail employer (the one with the stagecoach) put out a video statement on DACA today. The bank’s official position is for legislation that will provide a permanent solution for the Dreamers to stay here, “hundreds of whom are Wells Fargo team members.” It also affects our customer base, obviously.

I know it’s an evil, too big to fail bank, but it’s one of the largest companies in the USA. Maybe it will have an impact.

Off-topic but topical. If this is true, it takes some of the shine off the “Me Too” dressed to the nines ib black feel good story at the Golden Globes event this past Sunday night.

Page Six - Weinstein accusers claim they weren’t invited to Golden Globes

The women, along with several of Weinstein’s other accusers, claim they weren’t invited to the event.

“I can only speak for myself but not only I wasn’t invited to the #GoldenGlobes: nobody asked my opinion about #TIMESUP or to sign the letter,” Argento, 42, tweeted Monday morning. “I support @TIMESUPNOW even though I was excluded from it. Guess I am not POWERFUL or HOLLYWOOD enough. Proud to work behind the scenes.”

On Sunday, Argento tweeted to McGowan, “No one should forget that you were the first one who broke the silence. Anyone who tries to diminish your work is a troll and an enemy of the movement. You gave me the courage to speak out. I am on your side until I die.”

McGowan, 44, replied, “And not one of those fancy people wearing black to honor our rapes would have lifted a finger had it not been so. I have no time for Hollywood fakery, but you I love, @AsiaArgento.”

Rosanna Arquette, who accused Weinstein of sexual misconduct, tweeted to a follower, “No we weren’t invited. Annabella [Sciorra], Daryl [Hannah], Mira [Sorvino] … none of us were.”

Arquette’s sister, Oscar winner Patricia Arquette, replied, “That’s not cool-All of you should have been included. I wasn’t asked either but who cares! It’s great they are doing it & we will too!”

Sorvino — who accused Weinstein of not only harassing her, but of blacklisting her from the industry for rejecting his advances — thanked Patricia and Sciorra for their activism, writing, “Love you dear heart @PattyArquette, and all my sisters in this fight! Special shout out to my shining friend @AnnabellSciorra whose continued bravery and honesty is contagious and inspiring.”

Argento had a bit more pessimistic opinion of the omission.

“It would have been too much of a downer… an embarrassment,” she wrote. “Victims aren’t glamorous enough.”

This villain helped Trump win the presidency, and the Republicans to steal a Supreme Court seat in their quest to enslave women, and we should care what he can forgive? He can’t justify his evil based on the results of his evil.

Missouri GOP up to shenanigans:

As part of the Republican party’s ongoing effort to undo a century of progress for, well, just about everyone, the Missouri state GOP legislature has introduced a new bill seeking to totally redefine marriage.

Missouri still has an unconstitutional law on the books defining marriage as a union between a man and a woman. This new bill HB 1434, according to sponsors, would completely nullify marriage in the public arena for everyone.

The term “marriage” would apply only to religious institutions, while all state-recognized unions - hereto referred to as marriage - would undergo reclassification as “domestic unions.” Sponsors have created the bill, they say, as a means of protecting churches and businesses against gay encroachment, like asking bakers to design cakes for gay weddings.

lgbtqnation.com

Quite aside from constitutionality issues, the “shoot-yourself-in-the-foot” aspect of this legislation would be, let’s say, the Unitarian Church absolutely cleaning up on…..yep, you got it……same-sex marriage ceremonies.

Proving yet again that RWNJ’s are none too bright.

The Cook Political Report immediately moved the Orange County district’s rating from “leans Republican” to “leans Democratic,” and Inside Elections shifted it from the GOP column to “Tossup.”

That district includes the Nixon Library/Birthplace/Burial Site. I grew up there, and it makes me laugh to know that the seat could switch with Royce gone.
