I suspect we don’t know the actual truth. Guy pulls gun other guy goes for gun first guy shoots second guy before second guy can shoot first guy. Second guy then shoots first guy. What’s the point of carrying if you can’t brandish?

4 children left fatherless because Sinclair had a gun. It is clear that possession of a gun substitutes for thinking, rationality, and judgement. It provides the owner with an unjustified sense of self-confidence and arrogance.
That was my point about the “guns make a polite society”. I deserved the down-dings, but everyone carrying a gun makes for dead people, not politeness.

Yes, it sucks for them. But he was carrying a handgun with the expectation of using it somewhere/somewhen, he was unhinged, too. Yes, it was self-defense, yes he was an asshole for carrying a gun around in public.
