Yes, but Ivanka choosing a shorter hairstyle was a good call. Generally only young women can wear the long straight hair she had before. I think she’s in her mid 30s now and she needs a grown up hairstyle.

Then along came Trump: a pure grifter and sociopath who didn’t even bother to pretend to care about the party establishment’s second set of books and instead went all-in on the juicy, crazy, toxic, racist bullshit the GOP has been feeding its base under the table all along. This is how he won the hearts and minds of the rage-drunk meathead base and why they remain nearly 100% dog-loyal to their Dear Leader to this day.

John Scalzi (and this is something I was not aware of):

It’s a worse day for Johnson than Trump, which is a genuinely remarkable statement when you realize what a bad day it was Trump. But while both men are now firmly on the hook, Trump at least has some play in his line, and I don’t see how Johnson does at all. Johnson was given one job by his masters: Effect Brexit before all of them have to account for their offshore tax shelters. He’s bungled that one rather definitively, and at this point it seems unlikely that the UK will exit the EU on Halloween, despite Johnson’s best efforts. Which means another extension, more defeats, so on and so forth.

Bulkshit on a stick.

These fuckers have held up gun control for 7+ months this session alone. The GOP refuses to act on the House gun control passage that passed months ago. re: #69 DangerMan

Trump the self professed billionaire is raising campaign funds which can be used to pay his legal bills.

Everyone else is paying out of pocket (or should, because they should lawyer up). Odds are everyone other than Trump will have better lawyers than Trump does, and that includes Barr (who shows he’s not so much a great lawyer, but a consigliere who led his client into a trap that snared him too).

Thing of it is that Trump who claims to be a billionaire is hoping everyone else pays his legal bills. He isn’t worth what he claims, and he doesn’t have the money to do what he needs to mount a defense. It’s also worth noting Trump will likely screw his lawyers and claim he can’t/shouldn’t pay, even if they do a competent job. It’s how he operates, and that’s why so few notable lawyers are even suggesting working for him, and his legal team is a mess starting with Rudy.
