A Shorewood High School student wrote a hit list and had a loaded magazine, officials say

A Shorewood High School student who allegedly wrote a hit list was also found in possession of a loaded magazine, according to school officials.

School officials began investigating a report of a hit list around 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, when another student reported it, Shorewood School District Superintendent Bryan Davis wrote in an email to parents.

School officials investigated the report with the assistance of the Shorewood Police Department. They verified the existence of the hit list, and found the author of the hit list was also in possession of a loaded magazine, Davis said.

Couple weeks back I went to the Pabst theatre to see PMJ. Was a fun show. They even rickrolled us.

Very lovely place. The historic seating reminded me that yes, I need to lose weight. They’ve opened common area with the hotel behind them (St Kate’s) which has opened up some ways to get there and they have a cool little art gallery. There was some kind of giant needlepoint art display that was so cool. I was rushed so I didn’t get any details.

Looks like the Askja volcano in Iceland may be waking up after a half-century long slumber, though it’s perhaps still too early to tell.

Askja is a caldera volcano, situated in the eastern volcanic belt in Iceland. The volcano got famous during its very big eruption, on March 29, 1875. Ash, or tephra from this eruption was wind-blown to Scandinavia and even central Europe. This large eruption triggered a substantial wave of emigration from Iceland. The last eruption of Askja was in 1961, quite smaller in size than the large 1875 eruption.

Despite the earthquake swarm, there no signs that an eruption of Askja is imminent. Nonetheless, an earthquake swarm under a dormant volcano bears watching and if there were a large eruption of Askja, it could well play havoc with air travel here in Europe, much like Eyjafjallajokull did back in 2010.

We got our first frost here in our village on a side valley along the Rhine. Good thing, too. The vintners dump their pressed grapes out in the vineyards as fertilizer.

When the weather is warm and balmy, it breeds swarms of fruit flies that get into everything.

Now they are gone for the season, as are the rest of the insects.

Is that because they’re making white wine and it’s all removed before fermentation, so it’s not worth trying to use it to make pomace brandy?

They keep some of it to make Trester or Grappa, but most of it just gets dumped back out in big piles. On warm, sunny days you can see the swarms of fruit flies hovering over them.

Republican Group Urges GOP Lawmakers To Stand Up To Trump During Impeachment

When Nixon abused the power of the presidency, there were those who defended the president,” the voiceover notes. “Others defended the Constitution.”

Chris Truax, the group’s spokesperson, said Republicans who stood against Nixon were “remembered for their courage and integrity.”

“History has not been kind to their colleagues who buried their heads in the sand and refused to acknowledge the facts,” Truax said. “Republicans should study the lessons of Watergate very closely.”

The Eyjafjallajokul eruption was great, it was extraordinary to have many days without a contrail in the sky.

At least Askja is easier to spell.

IIRC, after 9/11 all flights were stopped for a few days (three, I think) and researchers found significant drops in air pollutants in the eastern half of the US where they were measuring.

Did that lawyer ever work for me, which would be a conflict?

Trump assumes that any lawyer who has worked for him is biased against him?

Interesting how they write stuff like this and everyone reads it without any sense of perspective

Donald Trump is not the only White House insider who seems to be flailing around a bit as they try to respond to the biggest scandal of this presidency

No urgency, ominousness, alarm bells, panic, desperation
There are lots, this is just the biggest

Enjoy your coffee and morning bun

After working for an arrogant and dishonest client, who asks you to obfuscate, bullshit, and/or outright lie in defense of indefensible criminality. And then likely stiff you on your bill?

Wonder why….

Greets and saluts from the frigid NYC metro area. We saw our temps drop by about 30-40 degrees over 24 hours, so yeah, Winter isn’t coming. It’s here. Not quite Winterfell, but northern NY saw a foot or more of snow, which is above the wall (aka outside the NYC metro area), so there’s that.

But that’s not what has my attention today. It’s that impeachment hearings start today, and will stretch on for the foreseeable future.

And the tangerine toddler is already running scared on Twitter.

Rudy’s trying to run interference, and it’s not going any better.

Hannity? Yeah, he’s also flailing about with misinformation and deflections.

The modern day GOP admire Nixon’s defenders. Truth and justice are alien concepts to them.
