So good to see American flags waving unmixed with those blue line travesties.

I’m ready to hear from our new President and I hope to hear from our Vice President too.

re: #1 jaunte

Those blue line flags are the new confederate flag. They are the surrogate flag for white nationalists and bigots.

Make no mistake. That flag came into being precisely because the ones creating the flag wanted to diminish the legitimacy of persons of color long harmed by institutionalized racism particularly by law enforcement and the criminal justice system.

Yep. I know it was meant as just three fields, white on top, black on the bottom and a blue wall in between.

Mrs. Fish and I did a loooooooot of political talking today. (Side note: She likes the Washington Post… yay!) One of the subjects was Bernie and his Bros. She is of the opinion that the Bros are the main problem and that Bernie himself isn’t that big of a problem. I told her about 2016 and how he was a real dickbag, but agreed that that perhaps convinced his followers to go that way and they never changed.

I think it boiled down to his being able to accept being beaten by a man (Biden) and refused to accept that from Clinton. He’s nothing but a leftist Trump in many ways.

The work just begins. Regardless of what is said, if the Democratic Party wishes to gain on the POTUS win, hold the law breakers in contempt.
Complete and utter contempt because they tried to destroy Democracy in this nation.
Hard work remains.
Real hard work because the maggots are still there.
Do not engage or protest.
Let them gather and jerk off all over themselves as they prove they are not the protectors of Liberty, Freedom or Justice.
They are what they are. Shun and ignore and for the love of Christ, let’s not do the fucking Tea Party con job again.
I’m not looking forward to “We’re in a small Diner in Burn Barrel Pa, asking a few Trump supporters how Trump lost.”
STFU STFD.
How about that Biden Harris ticket?
Fuck you Bernie.

But here is the Coop in front of the chicken wire I had to put up because this boy is a digger.
The first dog I ever had that tried to bury things.
He buried a dental treat today. In stones. And then used his nose to cover it back up.
Amazing.
Observe the chicken wire on my one exposed planting area.
He wears me out.

Bernie’s complicit. He has the fucking chance to do shit in the seniority role in the next Congress. But no, EcOnOmIc AnXiEtY!

His constituency IS the Ford Truck people, the fake working-class. Blacks are just gangbangers to him. Latinos do up his three houses for too little pay.

And in terms of Biden working with Republicans, the closest I want to see him come to that is this: “I had a front row seat for 8 years as the Republican party did everything they could to oppose President Obama with a ferocity that was as mindless as it was intense.

We cannot and will not work with that Republican party. However, any Republicans that are willing to depart from the Gingrich rules and participate once again in reality-based governance will at least be heard out.”

Biden reminds everyone who stood up for him when he was at his lowest ebb: African Americans.

Biden pivots to the bipartisanship moment.

That itself is a huge change from Trump, who called for wrecking his enemies - Democrats.

I’m not so forgiving. Criminals must be prosecuted. May the law and order be done.

I have no issue with folks with faith.
The faith that heals.
The faith that helps.
The faith that denounces hate.
The faith that says we are all of one.
Every faith has a denomination that is a cancer and a blight and kills.
In that is the fault.
God says to love.

Donald Trump was going to smear whoever was against him with whatever insane thing he could try, and he was going to do it through illegal means because he is simply incapable of perceiving law or morality as a thing that constrains him. The shape of the Hunter Biden laptop story is very little about Joe Biden and more a confession by Trump and his cronies…as with every other step along the way, they so lack concept of mind that their accusation are always insights into their vices.

And yeah I’m being rigid, but the thing we really, really do not need is more mythologization of the presidency or an individual president.

We need to stop turning people into stories that fit into our bog-standard pre-existing formats that suck the complexity out them but provide a comfortable-and-familiar entertainment experience. The idea that everything is a performance to illicit sentiment, and that it is right and normal to consume reality as a spectacle, has dangerous ramifications that extend beyond any one ideology.

My initial thought when Biden started to get the mail in votes counted was that Georgia, a bulwark of the Old South, could possibly send Biden over the top, and the jury was still out on Pennsylvania and they could go for Trump.
Think of that.
I did.
But Philly, Pittsburgh, Scranton, Erie, and State College came in strong.

I was awake way too fucking late for that.

Well, anyone rational knew that they weren’t going to accept anything but Sanders being proclaimed Emperor. That most of them shut up through the election after recognizing what a threat four more years of Trump was is surprising enough.

I also expect a chunk of the Trumpers will retreat back into the libertarian wilderness and rapidly turn on the police and other law enforcement that essentially coddled them and their armed protests.

Thinking like that is why you couldn’t be a good Republican. Good Republicans don’t care about their rights or reputations etc. as long as their cause prospers.

Another example is that reminding Republicans of the millions of Republicans in CA whose votes for president are meaningless because of the EC is a category error — as long as the EC favors Republicans, it must be defended against all attacks.

As much as the Biden/Harris team know the job, there’s a lot of work that goes into a transition to make sure that natsec and other critical functions are transitioned properly.

I suspect that those are going on in the background without Trump knowing for sure, because they have to do so; if anything happens due to a transition failure that ends up on Trump.

It’s not just learning the ropes of being in the WH and knowing where/how each of the positions work. It’s about information flow from one admin to the next. Biden/Harris are now getting the PDBs too. They’re reading them (even if Trump wont). You can bet they’ll be voracious readers of that information and act on it properly and judiciously.

Hannity was exposed as an accessory. He was a go between for Manafort and Trump in Manafort crimes.

That he wasn’t indicted was thanks to Trump and Barr short circuiting the prosecutions and investigations into Trumpworld - from the moment Barr became AG.

Hannity was exposed as an accessory. He was a go between for Manafort and Trump in Manafort crimes.

That he wasn’t indicted was thanks to Trump and Barr short circuiting the prosecutions and investigations into Trumpworld - from the moment Barr became AG.

Yeah Hannity was very prominent in the Mueller Report.

The 2 shot shingles vaccine can have significant side effects-or none at all, but it’s still totally worth it even with the side effects. A couple days feeling really crappy or shingles? Hmmm, no contest really.

I managed to get an outbreak between the so-so first vaccine and the scheduled first shot of Shingrix. (Shingrix was hard to come by around here.) Doc described my case as very mild, but it was a mofo. Doc suggested the first shot helped keep it down.

Had very little reaction to the two Shingrix shots.

Yeah, I wish Charles would add that classic pic of Uncle Billy to the meme library….

But, as usual with Team Trump, they fucked themselves royally by spending most of the campaign bitching and carping about “voter fraud” and mail-in/absentee “abuses” (mostly nonexistent, but never mind), which only prompted practically every election authority in the country to make absolutely damn sure everything was done by the book, and in the open.
And yet the Democrats still managed to “steal” the election via the dastardly tactic of getting more people to vote for Joe than for Trump. The fiends!!! ///

I negated a local - very local - Trump vote with my Biden vote. Not that it mattered in the long run, but I have joy in my heart. Still, my county was pretty solid red. Yesterday at sundown, there was a, not protest, but a gathering?, of Trump supporters on the Market St Bridge in Lycoming County. Not really sure what their goal was.
