Family Research Council says gays in military a religious threat
The fundies have their britches in a knot now DADT may be a distant and unpleasant memory.
It was religious liberty that drew the Pilgrims to America and it is religious liberty that leads off our Bill of Rights. But overturning the American military’s centuries-old ban on homosexual conduct, codified in a 1993 law, would mean placing sexual libertinism - a destructive left-wing social dogma found nowhere in the Constitution - above religious liberty, our nation’s first freedom.
So, as the fundies love to say, God Bless the Troops, unless they’re fags. Because the pilgrims weren’t fags. And the pilgrims wouldn’t want fags in America. And they hated witches, and snakes that could roll downhill and eat small children. Pilgrims were wise and all-knowing people, because they didn’t sail off the edge of the earth and if they only read one book, it was the bible.
Revisionism. The most valuable card the right wing plays.
