Al Jazzera’s live coverage of the Peace Activist Attack
The video does clip out at one point but this seems to be fairly unedited……
At 1:45 you can see the Israelis being lowered from the helicopter. You’ll notice you don’t hear live fire at the beginning of the video.
At 3:20 a man rushes in to tell the audience that they have captured 2 soldiers. The money quote is at 3:49; “Our friends have captured two soldiers”. (If anyone speaks fluent French it might be nice if you could give us an accurate translation.)
At about 4:30 A man makes a statement about this being a simple reflex of self defense.
The first live fire shots can be heard at 4:40.
It could not possibly be more clear that the deaths of the peace activists was a direct consequence of taking hostages.
