That song makes me cry every time.
So does this. Some people don’t care for Ataturk but this makes think well of him.

It’s probably one of the best anti-war songs. Hadn’t heard Liam’s version before. More familiar with the Dubliners’ and Pogues’ version but I enjoyed this as well.

I’m nor sure it’s so much anti-war as, um, honest. It doesn’t romanticize what war is about.
But that’s enough to change people’s minds about war.
