Freepers hate PBO and Flotus so much they’d go full metal wingnut even if Flotus said something like ‘Drink Up’.

Oh wait….

I seriously hope they avoid this advice.

I’m a bit late to the party on this, but who could resist Freepers’ angry and empty reaction to Michelle Obama saying water is good? She’s gotta do air next.

Since it is pretty damn obvious that Freepers suffer from brain damage due to oxygen deprivation, I would assert that it is more than a bit too late for that one.

Oh for fuck sake. This is sad even for freepers.

Freeper Syndrome is what happens to people who spend every waking moment listening to hate radio, watching Fox News, and spending the rest of their time on sites like Free Republic.

Unless the sufferer can be be weaned from their addiction, it’s a chronic condition that worsens over time to the point that a cure is no longer possible.

…but she didn’t actually say to drink eight glasses a day, did she?

I can only stomach FR in small doses now. The unrelenting hatred for anything that doesn’t match their definition of “How the world should be” sickens me. It doesn’t do my blood pressure any good and it scares the cats when I scream at the screen “Are you stupid??? Don’t you people have the ability to rationally process thoughts?”

Am I wrong to be disappointed that no one in that article mentioned flouride?

Though the comment about the eight glasses is right…not that the First Lady is telling people to do that; it’s more about drinking water instead of sodas and other crap (or beer, in my case).

Before the days of purified water, the world survived on beer — the stuff from the tap (or fountain) was too dangerous.

IIRC, drinking water was said to be preferable to drinking low nutrition, sugary, high calorie drinks, and we already know how upset people are about having their damned Big Gulps taken away in New York.

I mean, if everyone started drinking more water and less junk, how could you expect them to maintain the bodies of Adonis.

Honestly since I’ve started dieting. I’ve started to realize that water is much better than any carbonated beverage. I love a fine beer or a sweet soda but man a nice cup of water after breaking a hard sweat is great.

I remember that these nuts went extra crazy when the FL focused on combating obesity in American kids. It turned out that she was right. Here in GA, a report was released last year that confirmed everything she said. A physical fitness test was given to kids here between the ages of 5 and 18, and a majority of them couldn’t complete all parts of it, some couldn’t complete any part of the test. The results also showed that a significant portion of kids in GA are obese. Shortly after the results were released, our ethically-challenged and corrupt RW governor, Nathan Deal, announced a program to “combat” childhood obesity in GA’s youth. Go figure. When MO said our kids have a problem with obesity, the nuts here went crazy, but when Deal said it, crickets. The stupid is strong within these folks.

re: #12 majii

Her hidden ally is the Defense Dept. The number of American kids who have put themselves outside the enlistment pool is a real worry to the recruiters.
