I’m a bit late to the party on this, but who could resist Freepers’ angry and empty reaction to Michelle Obama saying water is good? She’s gotta do air next.
Red in Blue PA knows what this is exactly like!

Veto! won’t accept good advice from libby libs:
Actually, it’s good advice. But who needs it from Michelle?
My doctor told me to drink more water, or else, calcium/kidney/blood pressure problem would manifest. He’s black. I’m taking his advice.
“Drink up” sounds like she’s advertising booze. Not cool.
Founding Nephew, on the other hand, thinks no one is dehydrated at all:
This “drink 8 glasses of water” advice is junk science.
We drink when we’re thirsty, and there is no dehydration epidemic.
The “8-glasses” came from old military research to determine the needs of a soldier. And it includes water consumed as a part of moist food.
WASHINGTON — All legally married same-sex couples will be recognized for federal tax purposes, regardless of whether the state where they live recognizes the marriage, the Treasury Department and the Internal Revenue Service said Thursday.
The federal rules change is one of many stemming from the landmark Supreme Court decision in June that struck down the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act. That ruling found that same-sex couples were entitled to federal benefits, but left open the question of how the federal government would actually administer those benefits.
Zounds! Kenny Bunk has found the method to Obama’s madness!
BTW, for what it’s worth, I am becoming convinced that the key to “understanding” the Obama Phenomenon is Deconstruction Philosophy, Dadaism
“Dim” Jim Hoft is at it again.
Saudi student Abdul Rahman Ali Issa Al-Salimi Al-Harbi was injured in the Boston Marathon Bombings.
He was once a “person of interest” in the bombings. He was put on a terror watch list after the bombings.
Michelle Obama visited al-Harbi in the hospital last week.
A Democratic congresswoman with a proposal for gun liability insurance has been getting death threats. I assumed that like death threats against Obama, they either would assume they were lies or else not care. But after months of whipping up gun paranoia, turns out they straight up approve, and even provide some threats of their own!
Former Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.) will not run for Senate in the special election to succeed John Kerry, dramatically increasing the odds that Democrats will hold the seat and setting the stage for Brown to run for governor next year.
It’s a serious, early recruiting failure for the National Republican Senatorial Committee, and it makes the already uphill climb to a majority that much steeper for the GOP. They need six seats, and many party strategists privately counted on Massachusetts as one of them.
“With Brown out, the Republican odds just went from excellent to poor in terms of winning the special,” said Rob Gray, a Massachusetts Republican political consultant.
Brown clearly agonized over his decision to stay out of a winnable race.
The Romney campaign is joining the ranks of supporters who have decided that major national polls show Romney losing only because the samples are overly weighted with Dems. Romney pollster Neil Newhouse insists that public polling averages are ‘skewed,’ and that the 2012 electorate will not show the same minority and Dem base composition as the 2008 one did.
But in an interview with me, Obama campaign pollster Joel Benenson mocked the idea that the electorate will diverge meaningfully from that of 2008 as as delusional.
The Five Reasons Why Romney/Ryan Must Be Defeated in 2012 - and Why Conservatives Should Hope They Are.
Today, for Republicans, up is down and front is back. Lying has become so ingrained into the conservatives’ national dialogue that they are now dangerously demagogic or, worse, severely unhinged. Blind rage at the election of Barack Obama has wrecked a once great political party. Its leaders have made so many deals with the devil in their almost pathological obsession with unseating Obama that they have pushed the GOP into its own version of political hell – unable to speak truths to their now-rabid and conspiracy-addled base and unable to right the party back onto a path of responsibility.
Web sites from Wikipedia to Reddit are dark today in protest of the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and the PROTECT IP Act (PIPA), but bill supporters insist the effort is nothing but a publicity stunt and an abuse of power.
In a Tuesday statement, Chris Dodd, chairman and CEO of the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA)—and a former Connecticut senator—said Web sites participating in the blackout are “resorting to stunts that punish their users or turn them into their corporate pawns, rather than coming to the table to find solutions to a problem that all now seem to agree is very real and damaging.”
Freepers are OUTRAGED that Michelle Obama visibly rolled her eyes and said “All this for a f***ing flag” to President Obama who then smiled and nodded to her.
At least that’s what they imagine, based on this video:
Lots of “lip-reading” going on and enough outrage to last them…until the next one.
