Keyes is/was courageous to stand up to the pandering quota-demanding Chicago-machine politicians he was supposed to emulate to be successful.

Give the man credit for being his own man and remaining true to his conservative convictions, faith, principles.

Keyes did not sell out to the hustlers.

Unfortunately he mixes certain laudable conservative principles (i.e. support for Israel) with wackjob theocon nuttery. Which harms us all.
