But reports I’ve seen since then indicate that KTVU already had the names, then called NTSB “to confirm”.
And when they called they got an intern who probably thought “WTF?” and everyone had a nice laugh and then put it on the air.
Besides, why would anyone at KTVU even think about aclling anyone to confirm names that were an obvious attempt at a bad joke?
Idiots. All of them.
