Entitlements cost more than DoD, and serious defense cuts are not in the cards. We’ve got too much force modernization to do, and we always will have too much of that to do. The price of being a major power is continual updating. And don’t bring up things like the V-22, because its actually proved itself in Afghanistan.

Part of updating and modernization is defunding all of the current defense contracts that are bloated and weighed down with graft and which are years behind schedule. It also involved getting rid of weapons and defense systems that the Pentagon doesn’t want anymore.

Cut them off. Stop wasting money on them. Spend that money on something that will actually provide an ROI instead of being a black hole.
