Fox news is now hyping the story about the administration denying the troops the right to vote by issuing time waivers to a few states. The new law says states have to mail ballots within 45 days of a election.

Magyn Kelly just had a gal on the Washington state that tried to explain why her state asked for, and received the waiver. They mail 30 days prior, but allow 21 days after the election for the ballots to be returned. That effectively means the troops have 6 more days than the 45 day law, but Magyn did not let that fact confuse her theory that Obama is dissing the troops and denying them the right to vote.
The poor gal tried to explain that with the the late primary elections it was impossible to mail 45 days early, and thus the 3 week window after the election for the votes to count, but Magyn just shouted her down.

Notice Fox does not exactly say the votes won’t count at the link, but they sure hint at it. The waivers don’t effect that troops votes in any way, but Magyn just said ” A number of troops will not be able to vote in the mid terms” BTW, the waivers are part of a new law, and it made it impossible for some states to comply, and thus the laws allowance for a waiver.

Votes.
