If I understand Yglesias, he’s saying that both the ‘scientific racist’ crowd and the ‘IQ tests are completely meaningless and nurture is EVERYTHING’ crowd are wrong, but the ‘scientific racism’ crowd are also BAD. That, and their whining that they’re being silenced is horseshit.

Is a lot of this just people out looking for proof to justify what they already think?

The science is not clear, but they sure want it to be.

And I bet if it is ever made clear and it doesn’t fit their thoughts they will still think the way they do and just call the science wrong.
