Impeachment requires a simple majority, so it may not be as far out of reach as you think.

Not quite. The House can impeach on a simple majority (as it disgracefully did in 1998), but it then goes to “trial” in the Senate where a 2/3 majority (i.e. 67 votes) is needed to actually remove the impeached official.

Anyone think 20 or so Senate Republicans will actually vote to defenestrate The Donald?
