OK, so here is a story from the Sanford Herald about a man who was arrested for killing a guy he had been drinking with. Deputies arrest Geneva man for homicide

Well, to be fair, that case was pretty clear cut. The rifle caliber entrance wound to the head with no signs of a struggle would destroy any claim of self-defense, especially since Rogers was clearly drunk when the police arrived. But it does show the Sanford PD can actually do their jobs when they want to. But in Trayvon Martin’s case, they clearly did not want to.
