I had already resigned before the hard right turn, but the direction was pretty clear even then. One by one, all the people who came in at the start were eliminated, and replaced with ideologues and toadies.

Do you think it was an inevitably doomed project? I have a hard time imagining conservative and liberal bloggers all sharing the same space in today’s hyper-partisan political environment. I applaud the goal but maybe it was too impractical.
