Ooh, that’s rough. Someone can file a W-2 or a 1099 in your name and SS #, and you’re in for the battle of you life. Again, you need to petition the Tax Court (if you can’t get the asshole to amend the tax reporting form).

I got it straightened out.

My beef is, I was guilty to the IRS, garnishment, credit report dings, the whole enchilada. No due process was I had to on my own hook prove to them I didn’t earn that money. There was proceedings where they had their evidence and I had mine. I started out convicted.

I wasn’t earning any where near $50k.
