In a column published Sunday, New York Times commentator Maureen Dowd said that what she heard Wilson shout in the House chamber was, “You lie, boy!”

“Wilson clearly did not like being lectured and even rebuked by the brainy black president presiding over the majestic chamber,” Dowd wrote.
