As misanthropic and cynical as I can be, I really, really counted on my fellow citizens to reject this monster outright. And they didn’t.

It’s like arguing about the color of the sky with someone who insists it’s pink with yellow stripes, and not blue. I just do not how to handle people like that.

Thing is, though, if you look at the raw popular vote count, the people did reject this monster.

Just not in all the right places.
