Something I’ve been thinking about for weeks: was our election security tight enough that Russia didn’t attempt the level of ratfuckery from 2016? Or did they try and it just wasn’t successful?

I might be conflating two different things, though. There was no evidence they actually manipulated any results last time. I can’t imagine this is any different. It just seems like the Fancy Bear-esque hacking of emails wasn’t as big an issue this time around.

I also wonder if Facebook and Twitter finally being shamed into calling Trump’s lies for what they are, for once, helped tamp any potential BS down.

I’ve been thinking of this as well. If there had been hacking attempts, there should be evidence of it. The same with social media campaigns — Mueller was able to uncover evidence of it.
