IKR, but like all religion, it needs to be updated to make it relevant.
If it’s good, they’ll adapt.

I’m willing to be optimistic, mostly because I like what J.J. did with Trek, even if in hindsight I’ve come to dislike Into Darkness. So I’m willing to see where he takes the franchise. What’s the worst that will happen? It becomes a mindless popcorn movie? It will still be an improvement over the prequels.
