Conservatives believe that governments and schools (to name but two) can be run exactly like businesses.

Private schools, which can selectively accept or expel students, cannot begin to be compared to public schools, which are mandated to accept everyone who applies and can only expel students who display dangerously disruptive or criminal behavior.
