Calls for repealing the II Amendment are a non-starter: Start counting states which would reject such an amendment and when you get to thirteen, you’re done.

Worse, if you could somehow repeal it, that would not “ban guns.” It would put the onus on individual states to write laws. That would be an utter disaster.

All those court seats Mitch McConnell held up under President Obama? That will benefit loosening Federal laws on enforcement.

Didn’t say anything about repeal. Even suggesting measures the NRA supported as recently as ten years ago gets you labeled a “gun grabber.” They don’t want to compromise a damned thing.
