I want to emphasize that I watch Matthews for entertainment, not analysis. The guy cracks me up! :) Occasionally he’ll strike gold, like with Bachmann, but usually he’s yukking it up or trying to get his viewers to agree with his opinion.

I enjoyed Olbermann’s format when he started, but the cycle of continuous outrage just got old after a while. I think Schultz’s lasted about a week before I gave up on him. He’s definitely throwing red meat to the base.

I wouldn’t quite compare him to Beck, who seems mentally unstable.

Agreed. Schultz isn’t like Beck (who I also believe is mentally unstable)— he’s just the closest analogy I can think of on the left for beck. Still very far off Beck, though.
