Pretty sure my Foghat/Boomtown Rats concert was at the Chicago Amphitheater, which has to be the single worst venue for concerts ever. If you didn’t care the tunes coming off the stage, you could always pick em up again as they bounced off the cement walls.

I saw Zappa (my first concert), Black Sabbath, Guess Who, and others not immediately coming to mind, there.

Still..worst venue in the world.

I’ve been lucky enough to see shows at mostly good venues. Irvine Meadows (or whatever they call it now), the Forum (first show I ever saw was Bob Segar, 90s version), the Palladium, and a few others up in LA. Most shows I’ve seen have been outdoor shows, now that I think about it, so that has probably saved my ears some.
