Wow has gotten progressively less interesting for years on end. It’s a dying game, because they aren’t doing anything new or interesting. It’s become cookie-cutter gaming hell.

Rift seems like the antidote to everything that is wrong with WoW. If I hadn’t sworn off MMO’s, I’d be playing it. I don’t have time for them anymore.

That’s not true, actually. Have you been on lately? The Cataclysm expansion has basically redone all the zones including newbie zones. There’s a ton of new content as well as a lot of bug fixes. The game is more geared to solo playing. In fact, you can level out completely as a solo player if you choose.

EQ, now that has stagnated. Sony basically gave up which is a shame because the graphics are still awesome.

A lot of our friends are on Rift, but hubby and I have been playing WoW again. With all the good talk here, I think I may convince him to switch over.
