If they wanted to refuse to hire persons using birth control, I might actually think they had a point, but this doesn’t fly with me.

It’s hard to run a first class hospital, or school for that matter, without employing non-Catholics in key positions. The Church wants it both ways, to reap the benefits of inclusive hiring practices, to take credit for the wide ranging expertise and skills provided by such a policy, while still imposing certain doctrinal restrictions on their non-Catholic employees.
