And here I thought I was the overly cynical one. You’ve never been in a relationship where you’d rather die than to have to live without the other person? For the sake of honesty I haven’t but we read about situations like it all the time so I assume it happens.

What we all too often read about in the press are the situations where one spouse (almost always the male) decides that he would rather kill her than have to live without her…and then he kills himself as a bonus.
Very romantic.
