If you’re having that many problems, you have something else going on. I seriously doubt that Snow Leopard itself is causing them.

There are some incompatible applications, but if you’re having constant crashes even with Firefox and Mail, you should look elsewhere for the cause of the problem. You may have a bad kext or preference pane, or you may have a version of the Unsanity software installed. Both of those things are known to cause big problems.
