re: #254 Wendell Zurkowitz ((slave to the waffle light))
Point was, my dad could afford to raise a family, buy a house and car and send his kids to college on a steelworker’s salary.
Those days are all but gone.
I was born in 1969 - my dad could afford to raise a family (me and my housewife mom), pay a mortgage, a car note and take a nice vacation every year. On a baker’s salary.
Not anymore. Like you said, those days are gone forever.
