AIG has contracts with people obligating it to pay for performance. Not everyone at AIG screwed up, and this is still a free market for talent. If AIG wants to recover and keep its people, it needs to reward its talent. It’s none of your, mine, or the governments business what they do with money anyhow. This is what happens when the government gets involved, we are reduced to populism- and Obama LOVES populism.
Let’s just stay out of it and let AIG succeed or fail on its own.
