But the truth is, there probably wouldn’t be much of an NFL if players couldn’t use some kind of pain killers. How many of the starters can play 16 games injury free. I’m guessing about none. Its a violent game. So I see why the League has sort of a double standard.

Everybody is dinged up by week 2 or 3. With out pain killers you do not have a league. Same with baseball. I pitched 6 2/3s innings in college with a broken index finger on my pitching hand (caught a line drive back at my face bare handed and broke the finger on my 1st pitch of the game). We had absolutely no one else who could pitch.

I guarantee you I did not throw those innings with just coffee in the tank.

One time I got 6 pain killer shots in my pitching shoulder in a 4 week time span.
