My 6-year-old Dell Inspiron 9100 is still going, having been through $500-ish of replacement parts (not bad given that my whole family chucked in near $2000 to get it back in ‘04.)

I intend to replace it with either a desktop-for-home/netbook-for-travel or a Macbook.

Preferably the latter.

I picked up a netbook at Costco a month ago…it’s pretty good. With GoogleDocs, you don’t really need Microsoft Office. Getting used to the smaller keyboard is a small hassle, but one could hook it up to a regular monitor and keyboard/mouse and use it as a desktop as well.
