It’s votes like these that make less willing to support Democrats in red states. Why? Because I’d have been at least a little less disgusted when four Republicans voted against this bill than four Democrats scared shitless of reelection.

Even if those Democrats hadn’t defected though, they still wouldn’t have had the votes to break the filibuster.
