I am starting to think that there are going to be a bunch of Republican’s caught up in this mess and that’s why some of this is happening. Trump and his crooked crew is one thing. But if we start to see other GOPers getting caught up, we’ll see an all out protectionistic response from all GOPers.

I suspect that the big worry among the GOP leadership is that even if the indictments are limited to Trump and his cronies, the same report will condemn the party for knowing or strongly believing that Trump was engaged in illegal efforts to undermine the Clinton campaign and did nothing to address it. That they were so desperate to push him across the finish line that they turned a blind eye to illegal acts on the argument that winning was the only thing that mattered.
