I have met a few of my super hero musician idols…could tell some stories but it is so refreshing to find someone is loose and friendly and just happy to mingle with fans on a neighborly level…John Hiatt is like that…he asks you questions too…about a car repair or a TV show or whatever…jus thinking back

In almost 40 years of being involved in the regional entertainment business, here and in many other cities and states in the past, the best performances, no matter what the medium, is always the ones where you have a crew of really friendly people.

Entertainment is a tribal, ritual thing, requiring the cooperation of many people, all at the same time, usually live, and really, egos have no place in the process.

And speaking of the “process,” I have to head down to the theatre. We have a concert tonight and I have an early call to get things ready before noon.
