Back a few weeks ago, someone (can’t remember now) on one of the MSNBC discussions said that in fact can be done if need be.

Because a pardon has to be specific, right? It can’t be “For any and all possible crimes committed or not committed up to this moment”.

Which reminds me of Richelieu’s warrant in “The Three Musketeers” -

“By my will and for the good of the State, the bearer has done what has been done.”
