Exactly. The argument that this is “rewriting history”, that I’ve read somewhere, doesn’t make sense - not only these people are not counted as Mormons, even if they were, the LDS church is too insignificant for their private rituals to budge history-writing in any direction.

Sort of like if someone “baptized” Christopher Hitchens. What? Suddenly he’s sent to hell after that? Not going to happen. They’re free to practice such silliness which will have no effect other than me shrugging.
