No matter who Obama pressures or does not pressure, will the Palestinians at any time in the near future accept Israel’s position regarding Jerusalem? Is Israel’s position in this regard subject to change?

Israel’s position won’t change, but I am wondering where Obama will go with this. Make a big push and then realize the Palestinians don’t want Israel, and back off, or think he can push Israel into making enough concessions?
Or keep giving lip service to talks so he can appear to be doing something. And will he push Israel to make enough concessions to get the Palis to show up (and they don’t seem to want talks at all right now; I doubt there is enough Israel can do) or push the Palis to show up anyway?
