I saw some of it in 1999 and thought that it was a well done movie but it didn’t capture my interest at all. I mean film love is subjective but I’m more about plot and character development.

To each is own. I was way more blown away by The Matrix than The Thirteenth Floor. I liked them both, but then again, I’d already contemplated the idea that we could be a simulation. The idea of being forced into a simulation to be used as batteries was way more radical. Plus, the idea that the simulation was a crappy existence rather than a utopia because we couldn’t accept paradise was a pretty good description of humanity (not to mention the idea that we’re parasites).
