Most restaurants in California, at least around me, have gone back to paper/cardboard to go boxes instead of styrofoam. And I’d much prefer if a lot of the stuff I get in plastic containers came in glass ones instead.
The grocery chain Wegmans based in Rochester, NY is eliminating plastic grocery bags by this time next year. I have not asked yet in the local one here in eastern PA whether they will be following suit at the same time.
I use canvas bag for grocery shopping so this doesn’t bother me. About the only thing I use the plastic bags for is hauling used cat litter to the dumpster.
