The grocery chain Wegmans based in Rochester, NY is eliminating plastic grocery bags by this time next year. I have not asked yet in the local one here in eastern PA whether they will be following suit at the same time.

Hi from Wegmans HQ city! From what local media accounts have been saying, it’s only Wegmans stores in New York that are getting rid of the plastic bags this year, getting ahead of the statewide ban on them that will take effect next year.
