That applies for domestics too. Reagan actually signed an amnesty but no Republican or Democrat can even talk about meaningful immigration reform. I’m convinced that the reason why they blindly defend anything Reagan did was because Reagan was able to cover up how shitty their ideology is with big wins at the polls.
