as to the first:
anyone who spends any time actually trying to understand what’s going on in the country, the world, at any point in time, not just now, to understand politics, policy, issues, etc etc, will see that all the moving parts are extremely complex, complicated and democratice resolution is always messy imperfect compromise (short of dictatorship)

so if i can broad brush this, that kind of appeal is because it’s simplistic and ignores so much reality.

You can’t fix the world if all you have is your hammer” But yeah, I think that’s what frustrates me the most. Honestly, I think he still doesn’t get it. He just thinks you fix income inequality and all goes away but that’s not the problem at all. Now, there is an income inequality problem in this country I’ll be the first to say.
