Ah okay but what about the Romney in ‘94 that ran against Ted Kennedy for senate. The one that tried to out lefty Teddy on LGBT issues and tried to run away from the social conservatism of Reagan and Bush I.

That was Romney Beta, which turned out to be a failure because it was impossible for him to be taken seriously as a Republican who was more liberal than Ted Kennedy.
